Papa Roach

I'm not really sure if I've talked about Papa Roach already or not, but if I have I'm going to do it again. I like Papa Roach, it's not one of my favorite bands, but I'll willingly listen to it. I really mostly like the lyrics of a few of their songs like, Do or Die, Last Resort, Lifeline, Not Listening, Scars, Sometimes, ...To Be Loved, and What Do You Do? I also like Hollywood Whore and I Almost Told You That I Loved You, but not because of the lyrics for those haha. I think my favorite might be Scars. Some of the lyrics are:

"I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And my scars remind me that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel"

I think that's really deep and meaningful. And I also think that those lines can really be interpreted different ways to different people, so it could mean something different to different people, which I think is pretty cool. What does it make you think of? How does it make you feel? Some of their songs make you ask those questions to yourself, they're kind of thought prevoking which I really like.

Led Zeppelin

I think Led Zeppelin is pretty good, although I think they're lyrics kind of....well sucked. Their guitar, and instrumentals are really really good though. They have pretty amazing skills. Their songs are really quite long, and drawn out and a little boring. I think they need better lyrics, and shorter songs, with that plus their really good instrumentals would make for an amazing band!

Somebody That I Used to Know

I LOVE this song, a lot of people don't like this song as much as before because it was over played a ton on the radio, but I still really like it. I feel like maybe this song could be pretty legendary, I think it might stand the test of time, but I don't really know, I hope so. My favortie part is when Kimbra sings, I think her voice is just beautiful. I also like the dubstep remix of it. I have begun to really like dubstep so I was looking up some of my favorite songs in dubstep form, and I ran across this song and I was like OMG YES, and it was actually really good!

The Woodstock Documentry

The documentary we're watching in class, it has something to do with Woodstock, I don't remember what it's called. I don't really like it that much it's kind of long and boring and tedious. Every song a band plays just goes on and on and on, and I end up daydreaming and not really paying attention. I thought the hippies were sort of funny though. Like the interviews, and the yoga, I enjoyed that a little bit. But overall I don't like the movie that much.

Christina Perri

I'm sure you've all heard of Christina Perri, she sings the song Jar Of Hearts, that one song that played over and over and over again on the radio. Well, I have grown to really like Christina Perri, at first with Jar Of Hearts, I just couldn't stand her voice anymore, because it played soooo often. But my mom made me listen to a few other songs of hers and I really like a few of them. The songs I like are, Bluebird, Arms, Bang Bang Bang, Distance, Miles and A Thousand Years. My favorite song of all of them, I think is Miles. I think it's such a sweet song, and I wish I had someone to be like this with. Some of the lyrics are:

"Kiss me on my shoulder, and tell me it's not over
I promise to always come home to you
Remind me that I'm older to be brave, smart, sweet, and bolder
And don't give up on what we're trying to do
Don't count the miles, count the "I love you's""

I think that's really cute! Like when you're loved one leaves, or moves to another state or country, I think it's sweet to play this song and instead of thinking about how far away he/she is, just think of how much you love eacher and just count that instead. Although, at the end of her song, her boyfriend or husband does eventually leave her, which is kind of sad...But! Nevertheless it's still a really sweet song.

Johnny Cash and The Band

I don't really like Johnny Cash that much. It's too country and I don't really like his voice that much. Although, yeah, he's not just country, he's also kind of rock/punk, but I don't know I guess for me what he was going for just didn't really connect in my ears. My mom LOVES Johnny Cash though, but she also likes those old timey country music songs. I thought The Band was pretty good. I would like to continue listening to them and get more of an idea of what they do. And kind of like Johnny Cash, The Band is a mix between country, maybe a little bit of rock, and kind of like soul, maybe hip hop a little too? For some reason, I like The Band's mixture of music more than Johnny Cash's. I like The Band's voice more and I really liked that song The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down. It's weird how they did a song from the views of the opposing army of the war, but I really like it. It's also weird how they're mostly a Canadian band, and they're singing about the USA. But yeah, I dislike Johnny Cash, but I like The Band.

3 Doors Down Concert

So, I just got back from the 3 Doors Down and Daughtry concert! It was soooo amazing!! Well at least 3 Doors Down was. Daughtry...well let's be honest, Daughtry SUCKED! Daughtry's voice was so out of tune and it was just bad. But 3 Doors Down was so great. The singer was amazing and nailed most of every song they sang. They sang, When I'm Gone, Loser, Citizen/Soldier, Here Without You, Away From the Sun, Time of my Life, Better Life, Kryptonite, Days in the Life, Road That I'm On, It's Not My Time, and 3 songs that are coming up on their next album. They also sang a cover of Symphony of Destruction by Megadeath which was pretty awesome! The music was awesome, the crowd was happy and into the music. All around it was an amazing concert. I already wish I could go back!

Maroon 5

I think Maroon 5 is okay. My sister was just talking about them and told me that I should blog about them, so here I am. I like a few of Maroon 5's songs like She Will Be Loved, and Misery is pretty good too, and Payphone is alright, it's kind of over rated and over played as well. But my favorite song of Maroon 5 is She Will Be Loved, everything about it makes it a good song. I think the lyrics are really good, the instrumentals are really good and it's a song I LOVE to song along to, even if I'm not too great of a singer. My favorite part of the song is when he says:

"Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful
I know I tend to get so insecure
It doesn't matter anymore"

I think that line is sooooo cute! I want to have a relationship where my boyfriend would do that. I recommend giving this song a listen if you've never heard it before!

White Album

The Beatles White Album was great! It was kind of long but still it had some really good songs like Blackbird, I Will, and Don't Pass Me By, those were my favorite. Some that I thought could just be left off the album entirely were, Wild Honey Pie, Revolution 9, and Why Don't We Do It In The Road. I thought those were just stupid. George Harrison is actually writer. I think Ringo wrote Don't Pass Me By which I thought was amazing. So, the Beatles have succeded to amaze me once again. I don't think it's possible not to love the Beatles, they're so amazing in every way possible. They're so good at the instruments they play, as well as other instruments and their song writing is legendary. That's why I think they're the best band to ever walk the face of this earth.

So, Taylor Swift, I kind of like her, but again I kind of don't. Some of her songs I love, then others, not so much. A few songs I really like are, Mean, Mine, Speak Now, and Sparks Fly. One song I really don't like, and that I find extremely annoying is, We Are Never Getting Back Together, I think that's what it's called. I hate it, all she does is repeat herself over and over again in a really high pitched annoying voice. But for example I really like Mean, because of the lyrics. It's basically about her being bullied and how she copes with it, because all that person is, is mean, and the person has no control over your emotions. I think the song is really good and hopefully speaks to all the people being bullied, her song has a really good message and is pretty catchy too. Some of the lyrics of Mean are:

"You, pickin' on the weaker man

Well, you can take me down with just one single blow
But you don't know what you don't know

Someday I'll be living in a big old city
And all you're ever gonna be is mean
Someday I'll be big enough so you can't hit me
And all you're ever gonna be is mean"

I think this song is really good and is very meaningful and I think is pretty powerful too.

Another really awesome band is, Pentatonix, which is an acapella group. There's only five people in the band, there's four guys and one girl. Pentatonix won the Sing Off which was an acapella competition, so yeah they're pretty good. My favorite song I've heard them sing is Your Love Is My Drug. I just love it! They're voices are amazing and they're perfectly in sync and they do really good harmonies and it really sounds like there are instrumentals, but of course, there's not. And it's really fun to sing with, which is something I really enjoy! I'm pretty sure they sing mostly covers but I think they have a few originals on Itunes. You definitely should check them out, they're really really good.

Make Up Blog 10

One band my brother used to blast in his stereo constatly is Lamb Of God, at first I hated them with a passion becuase I didn't like the screaming. But I started to like screamo music a little more than I used to, so I tried and gave Lamb Of God a second chance. In doing so, I found a really amazing song, or what I find to be amazing, I have yet to find someone else who actually likes this song too. I'm honestly not sure at all why I like it so much. I think I like screamo because, like when I'm mad I can't just go around and scream at everything so I think being able to listen to screamo kind of takes out what I'm feeling, even though I usually can't understand a word they're saying. So, the amazing song... it's called Omerta by Lamb Of God. My favorite part is actually the beginning, which most people hate, but I like it. The beginning lyrics are:

"Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man
Is either a fool or a coward, whoever cannot take care of
Himself without that law is both, for a wounded man shall
Say to his assailant, "If I live I will kill you, if I die you are forgiven"
Such is the rule of honor"

And then after those lyrics it goes to an awesome guitar part. Sometimes it just gives me the chills it sounds so cool.  I recommend listening to this.... of course at your own will if you really hate screamo so much so that you can't listen to it then this isn't the song for you. But please give it a try :)

If I Take Your Heart

I'm sorry I wasn't able to go to that record store with the live music. I went out of town first thing after school today :( I really wish I could have gone but here's a good song!

So, there's this super cute song called Take My Heart by Soko, and my sister's boyfriend sent it to her for Valentine's Day and it was soooooooooo cute! It's about a couple who are in LOVE and they're giving eachother their hearts. Some of the really cute lyrics are:

"You can take my heart for a walk on the beach
You can take my heart for a little trip
You can take my heart very close to your heart
You can take my heart forever if you like"

Isn't that just adorable?! I wish I had something like that. But yeah the lyrics are adorable by the vocals and instrumentals kind of, well, suck. But it's sooo cute!

Magical Mystery Tour

Magical Mysterty Tour, an album by the Beatles, I thought was really good and very psychedelic. I really like the song I Am The Walrus! It's so weird and I have no idea what it's about but it sounds awesome, and John Lennons voice is so amazing. I also of course love All You Need Is Love and also Hello Goodbye. The Beatles definitely still have my full attention. Their music has change so much and the lyrics are so weird and are complete non-sense. But I still love it!

And Jimi Hendrix, I decided I don't really like it that much. The album was so long and I got tired of it after a while of listening to it, and I don't think I will want to listen to anymore of it. But I won't completely object to trying again.

Make Up Blog 9

So a while ago my sister and my brother were obssesed with the band Avenged Sevenfold. Since they played their songs so often I grew to like them...a lot, even more than them. Most people don't like the singer's voice, but I don't really mind it. The think I like the most about their music is the lyrics. They sing exactly how I feel and what I'm thinking. One of my favorite songs is Lost, because of the lyrics. Some of the lyrics are:

"We've all been lost for most of this life
(Lost for most of this life)
Everywhere we turn more hatred surrounds us
And I know that most of us just ain't right
(Most of us just ain't right)
Following the wrong steps, being led by pride"

I mean isn't that just true. Most of us just aren't right. And everywhere we turn people judge us, judged everything we do, and sometimes even hate us for it. And we're all basically lost in the world trying to find our place in it. I find the lyrics in this song to be really deep and meaningful and that's why I like it.

One of my favorite songs ever is Nothing To Lose by Billy Talent. It's kind of a depressing song but I still like it. It's about a 17 year old who doesn't really have any friends and is bullied, and he figures he has nothing to lose, and nothing to gain, so he commits suicide. Some of the lyrics are:

"Kids just love to tease
Who'd know it put me underground at seventeen

There’s nothing to lose
When no one knows your name
There’s nothing to gain
But the days don’t seem to change"

I really recommend listening to this song, it's so good, but really sad. Bullying is just wrong and this is what could happen :(

One band I really really like is The Band Perry. I'm sure you've probaby heard of the song If I Die Young, and I'm sure you're probably like ew I don't really like that.. But! (I don't really like it either), but it's the other songs are much much much better in my opinion. One of my favorites is Independence. My favorite line of the song is:
"This is as close as I've ever been to leaving
Five blocks away, a stone's throw from home
But I'm as good as gone"
I really like it because it's like it doesn't matter how far away you are it's one step closer to where you want to be, and just because you're not far doesn't mean you're not independent! I like to think this will be me when I go out to college. But yeah, if you like country music then hopefully you'll like The Band Perry.

Rascal Flatts. I really like the Rascal Flatts, I think it's fun to sing along with. I don't think they're the best band ever, but I enjoy listening to them on the occasion. I like, Here Comes Goodbye, Close, What Hurts The Most and Summer Nights. I like Summer Nights because it really gets me pumped up for the summer, I think it's funny and fun to sing along with and blast on the stereo in the car. I like the other songs because they're more about something real, like Here Comes Goodbye is about a bad breakup and What Hurts The Most, is so sad and depressing but I still really like them. And I like how they're kind of country but they're kind of pop too. They're a mixture, and I enjoy it.

I have fallen in love with Hunter Hayes! He's so super cute and his voice is that of an angel. His most popular song which is probably my favorite is Wanted. It's sooo cute. I wish a guy would say that to me. Some of the lyrics are "I want to wrap you up, Wanna kiss your lips, I wanna make you feel wanted" and then it goes on kind of like that! It's soo cute, and his voice is amazing and I love country and it's a nice country sound. And I just love it. You should definatley look it up! I also like If You Told Me To. Those are my two favorite songs of his. I can't wait until he comes out with more albums and things! He's really good.

Jimi Hendrix. I really like Jimi Hendrix, he's pretty good, from what all I've heard from him. It's kind of amazing how someone just signed him and took him to London then figured out, oops. he can't sing or write lyrics. One would think they would've talked about that before-hand. But I guess it's a good think all of that happened for him to learn to sing and to write and all that stuff! But he is an amazing guitarist! I would really love to listen to more of his music, I'll have to look some up later to figure out what his sound is and see if I really like it!

So... Me and a couple of my friends are going to see a 3 Doors Down and Daughtry concert on November 23rd! I'm so excited. I'm mainly going to see 3 Doors Down, it's one of my all time favorite bands. The most recent album they've recorded is the Time Of My Life. Maybe they're touring and playing from this album? I'm not really sure. So I really need to start listening to this album just in case. The only song I really know on the album is Heaven. It's such and amzing song! It sounds so meaningful. Like he wrote the song from some event he experienced. I love the singers voice and how he sings, you can feel the lyrics, you can feel what he's meaning for you to feel, and I love the instruments. Everything about the song I just LOVE. I'm not a huge fan of Daughtry and I've seen them in concert before, but I don't mind going through Daughtry to see the amazing 3 Doors Down! I had to beg my mom for weeks for her to let me go, and to have her drive me and my friends to the Bell County Expo Center! I can't wait :)

I've recently gotten into dubstep! Both my sister and brother have been making me listen to a few songs and I actuallt kind of like it. I had looked up songs on google and I found two songs, La Roux 'In for the Kill' By Skrillex mix and Rude Boy by Rihanna a Chrispy remix and I found that when you you start playing Rude Boy, after 1 minute you play In for the Kill and they combine perfectly, it sounds so cool! Also I really enjoy First Of the Year (Equinox) by Skrillex it sounds so amazing, although the music video is really really creepy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cXDgFwE13g

Some other songs I like are Hide-n-Seak (Roksonix Mix), Yo Ho and a Bottle of Bass by Omnitica, and also Bass Cannon by Excision. So if you like dubstep I really recommend these songs!

The Beatles, Revolver, is amazing as always. My favorite song on the album is, probably like most people's favorite song, is Eleanor Rigby. I just love The Beatles! Taxman is also a really good song. Cream was also pretty good, I'm definitely going to listen to them more. Frank Zapa is completely insane, and weird. I can't say I liked it, although I can't say I completely hated it too. I think his songs are stupid, but really funny and kind of amuzing. I also looked at the website mapofmetal.com I didn't spend too much time searching all the songs, but I did find a few bands I really liked in the Alternative Metal. I'm definitely going to have to listen to more of all of this music!

Nick Pitera

My sister has introduced me to Nick Pitera. He was originally an animator for Pixar Studios when one day a co-worker overheard him singing to himself and was like dude really good you should be a singer (it went something like that). And that inspired him to make youtube videos of his beautiful voice. He has a very very wide vocal range it's pretty amazing. In his cover of A Whole New World from Aladdin he sings both the male part and the female part. It's pretty great! Plus he's kinda cute :)

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9-CS2v8wcc

^^ Amazing right?

And also he does a "One Man Disney Movie" medley. It's pretty cool it's him playing a bunch of different characters like the villian, hero, sidekick, etc. And he makes a medley of the different disney songs it's soooo cool!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zp1BYzIVi0U&feature=relmfu

Please look him up! You won't regret it he's beautiful. And he's on Itunes! :)

Beach Boys

I did sort of like the album Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys, but at the same time I kind of didn't. God Only Knows was alright. I think maybe if I listened to the album a little more, maybe I would learn to like it more, but I don't know. I kind of started zoning out a little bit during the album so I don't remember a lot of the songs very well. I think the sounds and the instrumentals were.... different.... but it was pretty cool, it was weird but good. I think I'll have to listen to the album again a few times to really listen to all of it and see if I really truely like it or not.

Nickelback

Okay... So, yes, I like Nickelback. Go ahead judge me for it. I really don't understand why everyone hates nickelback sooo much and how everyone who likes the band is just a disgrace. I remember when everyone used to LOVE Nickelback, I don't know what happened, their music is still the same..
Some of my favorite songs are This Afternoon, Gotta Be Somebody, Never Gonna Be Alone, Just to Get High and If Today Was Your Last Day. All of these songs are from their album Dark Horse released in 2008. I like the songs If Today Was Your Last Day, Just to Get High and Gotta Be Somebody because they all have a deeper meaning that every time I listen to them I just think about how that relates to me. Like If Today Was Your Last Day some of the lyrics are :

"My best friend gave me the best advice
He said each day's a gift and not a given right"
"If today was your last day
And tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past
Donate every dime you have?
Would you call old friends you never see?
Reminisce old memories
Would you forgive your enemies?
Would you find that one you're dreamin' of?
Swear up and down to God above
That you finally fall in love
If today was your last day"

These lyrics, everytime I listen to this song, makes me think, what would I do if today was my last day? I can never figure out exactly what it would be, I guess I'd have to make a bucketlist and complete it.
For all those people who look down upon Nickelback and everyone who supports them, spend some of your time and actually listen to them, they're not as bad as you think.

Bob Dylan and The Beatles

I thought the Beatles' movie Help! was pretty good, it was funny but I liked their other movies better, Hard Days Night and With the Beatles. My favortie part was when they were on the beach beach singing with that blonde girl and Paul was playing her like a guitar haha. I love the Beatles :)

I'm not really sure if I like Bob Dylan or not. There was a few songs I thought were maybe okay and if I listened to them more I would learn to like them, but on other songs I was just like hmm that doesn't sound very good and that really doesn't mean much to me. I could do without Bob Dylan but maybe I'll like him more when we listen to his later albums.

I'm sure you've heard of the song Home by Phillip Phillips, well I actually really like it. At first I didn't really like it very much but then it started playing over and over again on the radio and I was like wow this is growing on me. His voice kind of sounds like the singer of Mumford and Sons. I'm not really sure why I like it, I don't even think the lyrics are cool. But I guess since it's been over played so much and it's familiar I like it a lot.

The Beatles are still so amazing! Rubber Soul is so much different and kind of weirder than all of their other albums, like With The Beatles. Norwegian Wood, it's soo weird the intrumental is strange and even the way he sings is kinda weird and different, I really like it though for some reason. I like the movie Help! It's pretty funny. I really don't like Ringo's hair though... He definitely should've gotten that cut differently.

I still don't like The Rolling Stones, they got a little better from their first album, but yeah they, in my opinion for now, suck. They don't seem very close as a band, not as close as The Beatles for sure. And also they don't really have any harmonies, like The Beatles. I just think the aspects of The Rolling Stone's music aren't great, unlike the amazing Beatles.

Carrie Underwood

In addition to all the rock and alternative music I mostly listen to, I also love country music. Suprise! Carrie Underwood is one of my favorties, my friends make fun of me a little bit because of how much I love her. I think it's cool that she started as just a normal girl who loves to sing and decided to tryout for American Idol and then won and is now famous. I have all of her albums and I love every one. I basically know every word to every song. I know that sounds a bit obssesive...but I like her lyrics and I like her voice! I'm really trying hard to think of a few of my favortive songs to share. Carrie Underwood is very girly and most of her songs is about boys.

I guess one of my favorties is Do You Think About Me, I really like it because it's so cute. Like when you like someone and you just feel so happy and bubbly that's what this song is about. She says
"Oh I, oh I, I’m not even trying
Oh I, oh I, but I can’t stop smiling
Oh I, oh I, it’s sending me flying"
^ Like don't you just feel like that when you're totally in love? (Not that I would know but I hope it would feel like that)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGVdjP8RE-o

Carrie Underwood she gives advice to other girls on what they deserve and what to watch out for, through what I think would be her own experiences. And she seems to care about what she's singing about so it really touches my heart and I really love her music. Me and my step-sister listen to Carrie Underwood whenever we're finally together and we like to sing with her really loud, it's so great!

Beatles, Stones, Who

I really don't like the early Rolling Stones. His voice is so annoying I really can't stand it, and they should NEVER be compared to the amazing Beatles, in my opinion. I absolutely love The Beatles, since I just got a whole bunch of their albums, I've just been listening to them constantly :) Beatles For Sale, I thought, of course, that it was really good! It's depressing, but good. My favorite song is probably Eight Days A Week I've heard that songs many times before so it's really familiar. I love the singing and I like being able to sing along with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KN-VA4Jg0-I

I really enjoyed The Who too, much, much better than the Rolling Stones. I liked My Generation, I think the instruments sound good, the lyrics and vocals are good, it just all around sounds good. The one thing I find weird, I haven't decided if i like it or not, but the way he says 'generation' it's wear he says it 'jeaneration'. Haha I don't know it kind of bothers me, but at the same time I think it sounds kind of cool.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xZOrWK6d4g

Atreyu

I, of course, heard of this band through my sister. Most of the bands I listen to come from her. I have really found to like them pretty recently. They're also one of those albums I could listen to over and over again and it would never get old. My two favortie songs of the album Lead Sails Paper Anchor is Blow and Lead Sails. I really like Blow because sometimes it just describes how you're feeling. When some jerk says something rude to you just blast this song. It makes you feel a little better, at least it makes me feel a little better.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFhAfTkH5DE

And I like Lead Sails a lot because it's really calming, and relaxing. It's the softest song of the album and it's a really good ending to the CD. I recommend Atreyu for anyone who likes Bullet for My Valentine, My Chemical Romance, System of a Down, any bands like that. I think they're really good, and I hope maybe you do too :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scY_eb6XO2g

Hard Days Night and Rolling Stones

Personally, I liked the With the Beatles movie better, because it was unscripted, it was just the Beatles being the Beatles. It was funny and entertaining, although I think they were easier to understand in Hard Days Night. The grandpa was kind of weird to me, I don't know if it was really necessary to have him, but I guess he caused a lot of trouble. And the there was the Rolling Stones, I'm not really a huge Rolling Stones fan, they're okay, I don't really like the vocals. I just don't think they're that amazing. And I also don't think they should be compared to the Beatles, The Beatles were perfect, and just plain amazing, each of them were insanely talented, but no one in the Rolling Stones were that insanely talented. That's my own personal opinion. I had never really actually listened to Bob Dylan before, but I think I could really start to like him, most of his stuff hopefully, I'll have to give him more of a listen before I can really judge how good or bad I think he is.

Seether

My sister got me interested in Seether. I really like them, I've only heard one album, Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces. I like every song on the album, and I can listen to it over and over again without it growing old. My favortie song of the CD is Fallen. I think I really like it because it's about the modern concept of beauty.
The lyrics say:

"This generation won't forgive those signs of aging"
"They got injections for those facial lines (make amends)
Break out the scalpel keep the nose defined
(look again)
A crucifixion of the love we've known for ages (hey man i see them comin' again)
You're much too pretty you don't need your mind (just pretend)"

It's saying how we do all of these things, we've invented all of these things to keep ourselves from aging. It's so true! Think of all the women who wear pounds of makeup, and get face lifts and things when they're all old so they don't look so old. That's what this song is about. So many women see the super models on the magazines and think I have to look like that, I have to wear things so short you can almost see my butt, I think this song really captures the idea of beauty women have put on their selves. Go check it out!

You will like this band if you like, Nickelback, 3 Days Grace, 3 Doors Down, things like that. I definitley recommend this band to you!

THE BEATLES

The Beatles are freaking amazing. When I first came into the class I didn't really know The Beatles, but now listening to their albums and watching their movie. I LOVE THEM. They're just so perfect. Each of them have really funny personalities, and when you put them together they bounce of each others energy and they are hilarious. Especially when they called the guy a wanker, I thought that was just funny as heck! The guy didn't even notice. And I love how in the train on the way to D.C., who was it? I think it was Ringo maybe who was acting like a camera man, just taking pictures and carrying around a bunch of bags. That was really funny, and when one of them did the 'retard' clap. They were just so funny and very cute. I wish I had lived back then so that I could have seen them in person and could have been screaming and drooling over them. They're cute, they're funny, they're great singers, great at their instruments and amazing song writers. No matter which way you put it, they make the best, most legendary band EVER. I really hope the Beatles never go out of style, I will no doubt make my kids fall in love with them too.

Chevelle

I recently found the band Chevelle from my sister and let me tell you they are AMAZING! The lyrics, the instrumentals, the vocals, everything I just love. My two favorite songs are Comfortable Liar and Forfeit. I mostly like them for their lyrics. Comfortable Liar, it mostly explains itself, the lyrics repeat itself, but I like it because it explains so many people now-a-days. It's saying "You're such a comfortable liar" which to me means you can lie without any feeling, like it's nothing, it comes natural. That explains a lot of people.

Also, Forfeit. It just explains my mood sometimes. Some of the lyrics are
"I want to fight,
I want to fight,
I want to prove I'm right.
I want to fight,
I want to fight,
So turn and forfeit."

I like to listen to this song on those days when you're just annoyed, and angry. Give this song a listen, it's like yes, this is how I feel....

And my favortie line of the song is...
"find a way to relate,
Or just shut up."

I don't know why I like this line so much. I love how they sing it. This is defintley one of my favorite songs ever. Please go check it out. If you like Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Seether, or any bands like that, I think you'll like Chevelle too. They talk about real things in life, real feelings, and that's why I like it so much.

The Legendary Beatles

I personally really like The Beatles. Out of the albums Please Please Me and With The Beatles, I think my favorite would be With The Beatles. I really enjoy the cover of Roll Over Beethoven by Chuck Berry. I love the sound of their voices. On Please Please Me, Twist and Shout sounds soo cool, I love his voice even though I know it sounds like that because his voice is tired but I tink it is sounds amazing. The Beatles were amazing song writers. I mostly like their lyrics because I'm all about love and romance and that's a lot of what they write about. To me the Beatles are pretty Legendary. There was so much drama that went on in their lives which is really interesting to learn about. They're just all around cool guys making a cool band. One of the top bands in my book!

Theory of a Deadman

My favorite band at the moment is Theory of a Deadman. I've seen them live twice, though Tyler, the lead singer, isn't very good live, like at all, but it was still the coolest concert I've ever been to. Their latest album, The Truth Is... is my favorite album of theirs. I love their lyrics, their instrumentals, Tyler's vocals (when the studio makes it better of course). I like the lyrics the most, they really make you think. Like We Were Men, it really makes me think about the soldiers fighting for our country, how they "defend our country with [their] lives".  I also like Head Above Water, because I guess I can kind of relate to it because to me it's about a struggle, or a difficulty someone goes through. I of course have all of their albums, a "hard-core" fan of theirs!

The Rock Revolution

My top three favorite artists that we listened to in class would have to be Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, and Little Richard. I like how Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard when they're singing they hit really high notes, I think that sounds so cool. Jerry Lee Lewis, is so crazy and insane which I really love and I think it's hilarious. Also, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard both play the piano while they're playing, at first I didn't really like the sound of the piano but listening to them, makes me enjoy the piano much more, I like the way they play it in a rock and roll tone. Elvis Presley, he's ehh good, I LOVE his overall look, the dancing, everything, and I somewhat like his vocals. My Grandma is completely in love with Elvis Presley, she has Elvis Presley pillows, address books, everything. My number one favorite singer this week was Jerry Lee Lewis, he's great at piano, he has good vocals and he's completely bonkers.
